OBS:to serve,to strive and not to yield.
it was fun and i did enjoy the bit pieces of the activities.it was a 5 day 4 nights adventure for sec 3s leaders.the start of the adventure was on 10 december and 14 december marked the end of the adventure.the OBS was held at pulau ubin.let me just briefly type out what we did during the OBS course.
10 dec:
reported at punggol jetty at 0830hrs as a whole school.saw a group of guys from idk-where.took the first ferry with the group of guys.said goodbye to mr taufik who sent us there.damn,in the ferry about half of the passengers got seasick and most of them was from our school.i had abit of seasick when we almost reach pulau ubin.
so then reached pulau ubin and we alighted the ferry and there we reached OBS!the whole bunch of us walked all the way to the multi-puporse hall with all our bags,chatting noisily and laughing loudly.waited for the rest of the people who have yet to come to the place.then me and dewi got ourselves high and we were like laughing at each other.after everyone reached we were allocated to our groups.sadly,me and dewi were not in the same group.i was in livingstone while dewi was in marco polo.it was sad larhh that i dont have any close friends in my group.my group member consists of:me,ratnah,iryana,fadzilah,suphian,mei ying,shazwan sapuwan,malek, benjamin,izwan,li min,christianna,eisi,su yi,keith and hong hui.anyway,we were introduced to our group instructors.livingstone's group instructor:abidin. so then we had so-called ice breakers before we proceed on with our individual activity.we were each given a task like each day ic,store ic,campsite ic and a few more.ratnah and i got to be as the day 3 ic.damn it maann..
after that we had our first activity:confidence jump whereby each of us will have to jump with our back facing a canvas sheet that was hold by the rest of our gruop members.since i was a second-timer,i just jumped without any hesitation.it was much more fun this time round.everyone was heavy,like duhh..after that we head on to rock climbing but unfortunately,it rained cats and dogs.we had to wait until the rain stopped pouring.it was damn loonng..waited under th jetty-waiting area for like 2 hours?then the rain drizzled.livingstone had to walked all the way to mph to do the indoor rock climbing.no abseiling..urgh!i wanted abseiling!so then had to belay the climbers....and so forth..after rock climbing was dinner.guess what.dinner was our own cooking.but even if our own cooking,it was deeelicious.we had rice with curry chicken.of course the curry chicken was in the canned food.nd it was deeeeliiicious.yumyum..after dinner was our own free time.but the free time wasnt the one u expected it to be.we had to pack our things for the next day's hiking.after packing we had to go to sleep in the mph.haizz..

11 dec:
woke up at 0530hrs and go have a shower and packed abit of canned food into our hiking bag.maann..the hiking bag was damn heavy.it weighed 15 kg in total.cant it be any heavier??then at 0700hrs we had our so-called PT before we headed off to camp 1 which is located 800m away frm camp 2.we were only allowed to walk into the forest to go to the campsite.daaamnn..camp 1 was MORE neater than camp 2.everything was nice.and well-prepared.the food there was fabulous but it was wasteful that we brought our campfood and never use it.urgh..pffft.so th second dae we had challenge rope course.climbed th inverse tower,belayed...this is din's instruction:if u climb to the top,u will get the rubber bracelet.so i climbed all the way to top and got myself a bracelet.in fact,everyone got the bracelet.woohhoo!!
finished with that we had kayaking.aiya..only practising..put on our life vest and practise kayaking.had to pretend that we capsized..whatever...then it's time for us to have our shower and dinner.then pitched our tents in the forest with marco polo:) and go back to camp 2 to proceed on to next activity which is free time until 2200hrs and supper time.after supper was sleeping time.we got back into the forest with our sleepy faces and we heard one news from cheng ho's group.one of their tents got snake crawling..eeewww..so then called the instructors out but they took sooo long to just come and have a look..haiyo..so after shoo-ing the snake,we got back into our tent and sleep..peaceful night..

12 dec:
got up late at 0600hrs and unpitched our tents to get ready to hike to our next destination: jelutong campsite.it was actually quite far and my group made it to the destination at 1630hrs.hiking was the best when we got to hike all the way up to a cliff.up the cliff was damn fun!!and and and funny!see..gg up the cliff and u shout out anything it will echo back.this crazy bunch of musketeers:izwan and the gang. omg..they shouted many funny things and me and the girls were like laughing like hell up there.we took group photo and ratnah,yan and iryana took photo saying that NCC got there too..omg..pls dn act larhh..haizz..then before we go down,izwan sempat pekik "berok.." echo back as berok.. than he shouted "kau.." and echo-ed back as kau..stupid but funny..it's like th echo calling him a monkey.then he said kurang ajar.izwan giler..
then we got down the cliff and continued back our journey all the way until jelutong campsite..the campsite actually was not a campsite but just a piece of land where we can pitch our tents and cook our food..the toilets was not near.it was far okae..and the toilets were dirty and smelly.no choice we cannot bath.and yah..we are smelly so we powdered bath in our tents and had our dinner.dinner that day was maggi and the rest of the food we brought.after eating,marco polo and livingstone gather to share our experience hiking.funny larhh seyy..and we also were brief about the next day activity:kayaking.we had to kayak all the way back to our first campsite we registerd which is camp 2.it was far okae..

13 dec:
need to wake up at 5 to at least unpitch our tents and get our things on the boat before we go kayaking.kayaking was easy by LOOKING only..if u were in my place,u will be suffering especially if ur partner was a girl.i sprained my wrist in the middle of kayaking,so had to swab places with malek and izwan.my new partner:malek got frustrated with me cause i never kayak.how cann i kayak with my sprained wrist..??it was pain okae..i really cannot take it and i cried silently..many ppl said my face was PALE nad i NEED a REST..but i just cant.i need to pedal all the way up to camp 2 to have a long rest.after kayaking,we had our free time until tmr.yea..from 1400hrs all the until th next day.fun right..but we had to clean the kayaks,take our bags,put inside store room,pitch our tents and cook our dinner..while pitching our tents,either shazwan or malek go and rolled one of the big stones and hit ratnah ankle.oouucchh..then the guys think it was okay but in the end she scratched her ankle..the musketeers were funny okae..luckily im nearby..since izwan was the medic ic,he wanted to heal the scratch.he took out counterpain and asked me from far if he can apply that on the cut.counterpain is DEEP HEAT okae..he then showed plaster and i laughed.hahas.then i ran all the way to ratnah and treated the wound..medic tk gune betol..very funny siaa.after pitching tent,we ook our long,cold bath which we havent take for 2 days.eewww..fadzilah yakked and yakked all the from the store room all the way into the toilet and while i was having my shower,she still yakked and yakked until iryana,ratnah,me and her fininshed bathing.omg..tk penat ke..ahakz.then after bathing,we put our stuff in the store room and prepare our things to cook.while they prepare,i changed ratnah's wound dressing.fun siaa..then the food that day was damn nice.we had bread with our own creation of food:chacken mushroom soup.that food finish first.we cooked our food near the jetty where we were facing the sea..syiok siaa..while eating,we cann wtached the sea..and some more at night,in the dark..so us four malay girls sat on the stone and talked non-stop from one topic to another while drinking milo+ovaltine=mivaltine.we also continued talking on the to toilet;non-stop.we even gossipped about our schoolmate;xxxxx.and then we had our sleep and decided to wake up at 0430hrs the next day..

14 dec:
0430hrs was not 0430hrs.we overslept and wokeup at 0630hrs.2 hrs late..da sedap tdo tu psl..hahas.morning wakeup,prepare things and proceed to jetty-waiting area and put our bags there.we then proceed to the jetty to do our last activity;reflection and certificate-giving.then done already is shopping time!i bought an OBS shirt and a keychain.in total i paid:21 bucks.then we had last debrief and got back to school..saw the rcy training and decided to join the training..i love victorious mann..once we got off the bus,dayah and illy hugged me..go to parade square,bi zhew hugged me,suriati hugged me and the rest all say missed us..wahh..i missed you guys too!!
got home from training and OBS,have a bath and ppl all called me!!

OBS was fun after all..up till now my wrist still hurt and waiting to be healed.i also sprained my ankle.damn it mann..
